My husband and I judged a trial on the weekend.  It was wonderful, great weather, people, property and dogs.  The fall colours were just starting to come out.  Nice weekend away :0)  I did do some stitching on the drive and will post an update soon.  Month end at work so it's very busy!

We had to wait half an hour before we could start due to the fog.

Wood and more wood....

This is the pile of wood we still have to cut and split.  It's hard to tell if we have put a dent in it, lol.

But it is worth it come winter.  When we had that horrible ice storm last year this is how we heated the house.
Reese napping in the old dog chair.  I keep wanting to throw it out but the animals love it so it stays for now.

River update

River is doing really well so far, she is putting a little more weight on her leg each day and its getting harder to keep her from wanting to play!

More stitching

So happy I've found time to stitch again. Here is the progress I've made on this WIPs.

This is really fun to stitch and won't take long to finish.

Only a little progress here, starting on the roof of the stable.

Another doggy post

My little girl Reese passed her first Master test on the weekend.  I am so proud of her as I never dreamed she would be competing at the top level :0)

River is doing well after surgery.  The hard part will be keeping her from wanting to play!

I have done some stitching over the weekend and will take some pictures.  Its nice to get back to stitching again, I really missed it!

Treibball fun

I competed with my dogs last weekend in Ontario's first Treiball Tournament.  We had a blast and came home with a few medals for our hard work!

Treiball is a game invented in Europe where the dog herds in exercise balls that are set in the same setup as in pool.  They push them in with their nose and it is a timed event.

Reese and Star

Star playing hide and seek.  That ball was hidden in the tunnel and they have to push it out.
Reese playing rapid fire.  Fast paced game to push four balls while I stand in the centre and send her around four balls in both directions for her to push in.

Reese brought in all the balls in an 8 ball game and drops at the end to stop the time.

Star playing rapid fire about to drop to end the game.

Catch up

A lot has happened over the last few months that has made it difficult to spend time posting on my blog.  Both my Mom and sister had surgeries, in the middle of that I lost my 18 year old Kitty, one of the senior Labs was in at the vets and I was working 15 hour days.  Our well also died so we had a 6000 gallon cistern put in.

But there were good things too, some titles and passes at dog trials and work has slowed down a bit, so I have breathing room and have been able to pick up my stitching again.

Star passed her advanced scent detection trial, all three components in one day!, Reed and Reese both got two passes in HRC seasoned, that finished Reese's title!

Reed placed 1st in Rally free...Star is just photo bombing, lol.  The funny thing is she hates getting her picture taken.

Reed passed his first CKC senior test!

Another picture of Star in scent detection, she scored 199 out of 200!

Kato and Jasmine.  He passed away last month at 18, he is missed.  A big presence for such a tiny cat.

And I finally finished a page!

I am Still here

Actually still at work, 11:00pm, I started at 8am, this is the third night of this, haven't even seen my dogs much other than to feed and let them out.  I am not a happy camper :0(

So much going on right now I've had no time to stitch, let alone blog.
But since I'm on hold I thought I would post a couple of pics of the dogs having a dip in the pond.

Hope life gets back to normal soon so I can get back to posting!

I'm Back and YOTA post

Things have finally settled down!

The kitchen is done, all the floors have been replaced and the stone has been laid by the woodstove.
Its so nice to get my house back.

Two dogs had to have lumps removed, happily they are benign.  The company I work for has been sold so work has been just crazy.  A couple of colds and flus and some major health issues have gone on as well in the family.  All is good now :0)

So, those are my excuses for not posting lately.

To tire the dogs out during this winter, we did lots of fit ball work, they actually get tired pretty quickly doing these exercises.  They also have a big peanut that they stand on and do exercises.

They also had fun inventing new games of their own......

And finally my YOTA update, believe it or not I have managed a bit of stitching in between all that was happening, its so very calming.

Last update

May update

I did more back stitching and added more to the house and plants on the right.  Its the project I always take with me in the truck when we go out so its getting lots of miles :0)

Hope you are having a great weekend!
